• This Week on coldplaysucks: Oct 11 - Oct 18

Thirty-seven drops this week. House ran the count with eleven, dubstep and drum and bass tied at seven each, and the monthly chart now includes both a budget earbuds review and a tech article about running Bundler as root. I genuinely cannot explain this blog sometimes.

    Track of the Week

TLM feat. Merely - Summer Jam

Six weeks at number two on the monthly, and this week it took the top of the weekly chart for the first time. Summer Jam is the track people keep coming back to. At some point that stubbornness becomes its own argument. Listen →

    The New Drops

House (11 posts): Oden & Fatzo dropped three records in one batch, all with different collaborators (Thurman x Metrokid, Echo Thrills x Sae, MEZERG x Noa Milee). Ferreck Dawn built a house track around a chopped gospel vocal. Sam Divine turned in a terrace record, Tony Cortez went Latin tech house, and Oscar Jamo kept things lean and floor-facing. Curbi and Wouter S & No Boundariez brought the bass house. Recheta, Kikko Palumbo and Nadia Dolce did Italian diva house with a straight face. Alex Preston and Danny Rhys handled the tech house end.

Drum and Bass (7 posts): Kings Of The Rollers & Grace Barton made vocal jump-up DnB with a hook that sticks around uninvited. Lateral showed up twice (one jump up, one straight). goddard. went liquid with Jazmine Johnson on something that sounds like sunset in a field. Cartoon & Artino brought melodic DnB, Arcando & IRAH did liquid with bite, and Levity pulled K Flay into a track that splits the difference between electronic and DnB.

Dubstep (7 posts): ATLiens & GG Magree’s “Black Sheep” got two remix treatments: Blankface went seasick, Dream Takers went dark and relentless. Wingz went deep and structural, HerShe & Jiqui delivered riddim, and zero point & Nyrus chose pure demolition. On the melodic side, Seven Lions and Last Heroes & STAR SEED both went big and emotional.

Electronic (4 posts): Cephas Azariah & Kidnap on melodic house, JNATHYN on melodic bass, sensacya on something stripped and clean, and Future Dynamic on future bass. The broad bucket had range this week.

Techno (3 posts): Amelie Lens at 150 BPM with a wound-up 303, the hardest thing posted all week. Sea Master did dub techno that sounds properly submerged. Under & Score made minimal techno that barely moves.

Trap (2 posts): Nadia Ali & Alesso’s “Pressure” got dragged into 808s by RemK. Tiffany Day and slayr’s “CONSTANTLY” got a Yonexx remix that turns bedroom pop into festival bass.

Trance (2 posts): Simon Gregory with two in one week. One uplifting, one melodic, both completely unashamed.

    Also Banged This Week

    • Amelie Lens - a track at 150bpm: acid techno at a pace that leaves most of the genre behind. Listen →
    • Kings Of The Rollers & Grace Barton - Should’ve Known Better: vocal DnB with jump-up energy and a hook that won’t leave. Listen →
    • goddard. - Lillies (ft. Jazmine Johnson): liquid DnB that makes you want to be outside. Listen →
    • Wingz - Encounter: deep dubstep that bends into shapes you don’t expect. Listen →
    • Ferreck Dawn - Need: a gospel loop chopped into a house groove, the vocal doing all the work. Listen →

See you next week. Coldplay still sucks.

3-minute read. Slightly less excruciating than 'A Sky Full of Stars'.

    Dillon Francis - Fall
Oct 2026 — Dillon Francis plays a straight-faced trap track in 2026 and Fall is a small time warp. Better than nostalgia alone has any right to be.
