Four in the morning, the last hour of the set, and this is the track that either lands perfectly or reads as pure filler depending entirely on the room. “For A Moment” is competent uplifting trance. The build does what builds do, the supersaws stack the way supersaws stack, and the drop delivers its euphoria right on schedule. That predictability is also the problem. Crashguard hits every mark so precisely that the track never once surprises you, and you can call the next eight bars from the first eight, and being right every single time gets a little dull. The melody in the breakdown is genuinely pretty, and on a big system the release would probably hit hard. But I have heard this exact emotional arc a hundred times before, and this version does not add a new wrinkle to it anywhere. Pleasant, well-made, gone from memory by tomorrow morning. Trance has a formula for good reason, but the tracks that actually last bend the formula somewhere, and this one just walks the straight line.
