Thunderbolt Docks: A long way off still?
Read more . . . →I recently purchased a new Mac Mini for use as my desktop computer in the office. One of the appeals was the high-speed Thunderbolt port. I was recently reading Anandtech's article dicussing the possibilities of a thunderbolt docking station. Currently only the $999 Apple display has that feature. You can read more about the upcoming thunderbolt docks here, but the basic gist for users is as follows: MacBook...

iCloud transition extended for mobileme troopers
Read more . . . →If you, like me, were a subscriber to the paid MobileMe service when Apple switched to their free iCloud service you probably already know what I am about to write about. Earlier last week I got an email that said the following: When you moved your MobileMe account to iCloud, we provided you with a complimentary storage upgrade beyond the standard 5GB that comes with an iCloud account to help you with the transition. Studio Tips: No Presets in Effectrix or how to fix the problem with presets in Effectrix
Read more . . . →Good Day fellow readers, today's ableotn tip came after having a few problems running Effectrix. Basically the presets would not show up within the application, even though I have installed it properly (many times!). The solution was found on the KVR forum by the Effectrix tech support staff: on PC its enough just to uninstall and reinstall the program. Bonus tip: in Finder on...

The Aug EP, and new ways to (re)market music within the iTunes Music Store
Read more . . . →This week Apple announces their iOS 6 operating system, which will probably be the OS that's on the iPhone 5.
