hayve & Segan - See U Bounce

This one made me grin like an idiot within about fifteen seconds, which is the highest bar a jump-up track really has to clear. See U Bounce is exactly what the title threatens, a Monstercat drum and bass roller built to make a floor pogo until the ceiling complains. The bassline is springy and cartoonish, lurching up and down the scale like it’s dodging something, with zero interest in subtlety or your dignity. hayve and Segan keep the arrangement lean and all forward momentum, the drums shoving you at the next drop before you’ve caught up with the last one. There’s a chopped vocal that just yells the hook, no verse, no backstory, pure fuel. There’s a second drop where the tempo somehow feels even faster, though it can’t be, and that’s the moment a room would fully lose the plot. What sells it is the flat commitment to being fun, and I put it on twice back to back before immediately wanting a third. Dumb and fast and joyful and completely undeniable.
