Koven - wHERE the rhythm goes
Read more . . . →When did Koven get this heavy? “wHERE the rhythm goes” still has Katie Boyle’s crystal-clear vocal front and centre, but the drop underneath has more teeth than the melodic-dnb tag usually allows. The verses float, all airy pads and restraint, and then the low end comes in genuinely nasty, a growl that would sit fine on a dubstep track slowed down. That contrast is the whole appeal, the prettiness making the ugliness hit harder and the reverse too. Read more . . . →Put this on to test a new set of headphones and lost twenty minutes to it instead. “Misbehave” is jump-up drum and bass with a grin, K Motionz doing that bouncy, elastic bassline thing where the low end feels like it’s being yanked and snapped back on every bar. The “jazza’s dance party” billing tells you not to expect a serious record, and thank god. Circadian - Energy In Motion (A.M.C Remix)
