You have heard a thousand NCS tracks whether you realize it or not, bleeding out of gaming montages and twitch streams since roughly forever, and that ubiquity makes the label very easy to write off. DÉVOTION is a decent reminder not to. IYCE MANN turns in something with a bit more grit than the NCS house average, the melody carrying real tension before it finally gives in to the drop. The all-caps title and the accent on the E tell you the mood before a single note plays, a sort of earnest, slightly gothic devotion that the track actually delivers on. I do not know IYCE MANN from anyone yet, which is standard for this pipeline, a machine for surfacing producers before they have a story attached to their name. What lands is that it commits to a feeling rather than just filling four minutes of royalty-free runtime. A genuinely good cut hiding inside a catalogue that people love to dismiss on reflex.
