Four production credits and a vocalist on one track, and somehow Live Again still breathes instead of sounding like it was assembled in a spreadsheet. It’s peak-time progressive house built for a main stage at golden hour, all soaring chords and a HALŌ vocal pitched to carry across twenty thousand people. The drop goes straight for the throat with a big plucky lead that Third Party and DubVision have each deployed a hundred times, and it works because the build underneath actually earns the payoff it’s been promising. Matisse & Sadko’s fingerprints are all over the melodic detail, those little arpeggios flickering through the back half. It reaches for the obvious euphoric payoff and gets there with no apologies, the kind of chorus that puts a whole field of hands in the air without anyone being told to. I don’t need this in my headphones, and I would lose it completely if the drop hit while the sun was going down at a festival. Big, dumb, and gorgeous.
