What is it about NCS tracks that makes them impossible to place and impossible to forget? once more is a Glitch Cat and prodBigMike collaboration off the NoCopyrightSounds conveyor belt, and like a lot of what that channel puts out it sits in a genre-fluid space that’s electronic without ever committing to a subgenre. There’s a bit of future bass in the drop, a bit of pop in the vocal, some trap snap in the drums, and the blend goes down easy. The vocal carries a wounded, lovelorn ache that the title spells out, someone asking for one more shot at something already gone. NCS gets sneered at by people who think free-to-use means disposable, and then a track like this gets stuck in your head for a day and undercuts the whole argument. The production is clean and bright, built for gaming streams and study playlists and every other place this stuff soundtracks by default. It’s bright and catchy and asks nothing of you but the hook, and the hook delivers. I hummed it without meaning to, which is the only metric that matters here.
