The first thing you hear is a vocal sample sped up until it’s basically a bird, and that pitched-up chirp becomes the entire emotional core of the track. ORACLE’s remix of zensei ゼンセー and Holochrome’s “far away” is future bass with the melancholy dialled all the way up, the kind of thing MrSuicideSheep has built a whole channel on. The drop trades the usual festival maximalism for something more delicate, supersaws that shimmer instead of scream. It’s washed-out and a little sad in a way that feels like scrolling old photos on your phone at 2am. The percussion is light, almost an afterthought, letting the synth work carry the weight. The second half finally slides a low sub underneath all the prettiness, giving it some floor to stand on so it aches instead of just floating off. There’s a real skill in making three minutes feel this weightless and still leave a mark behind. Lovely stuff for staring out a rain-streaked window and feeling something you can actually manage.
