You already know if you are the audience for this by the thirty-second mark, and I turned out to be. Waiting For You landed on MrSuicideSheep, which is still the most reliable channel on the internet for pretty electronic music that hits the same nerve a good pop song does. Future Dynamic works the melodic future-bass lane, all bright supersaws and a vocal built for longing, and normally I bounce right off this stuff for being too clean to trust. The reason this one stuck is the drop at 1:20, where instead of the expected wall of sawtooth the lead goes almost vocal, a pitched synth that sings the melody back at you like a second voice in a duet. It is unashamedly emotional, the kind of track that works on a long drive or a bad week. The percussion is a little generic and the breakdown overstays its welcome by a bar or two. But the core idea is strong enough to carry the weaker bits, and I have reached for it three times since yesterday. Prettier than it has any right to be.
We've posted Future Dynamic before. Check out Future Dynamic - Memories (why does it hurt)
