Ravekings & JSPH - Dance To The Beat

There’s a vocal sample chopped so hard it turns the phrase “dance to the beat” into a stutter you cannot unhear, and that stutter is the entire hook. Ravekings and JSPH have built a piece of unapologetic big-room festival fuel, made for a stage the size of a city block, all air-raid synths and a drop designed to launch a crowd straight into the sky. People have been declaring big-room dead roughly once a year since 2015, and it keeps refusing to die, mostly because tracks like this still do precisely what they were built to do. The build is pure adrenaline. The drop is enormous and a little bit ridiculous. The breakdown parks a pretty piano line in the middle purely so the next explosion lands with more force, which is a cheap trick that works every single time it’s pulled. It is loud and dumb and glorious in the specific way only big-room gets to be. This would flatten a field at golden hour and send phone cameras up in a wave. At home on a Tuesday afternoon it’s frankly a lot, but that’s a me problem, not a track problem. “Dance To The Beat” is aimed at a field of twenty thousand people, and it will hit every last one of them where it’s aiming.
