How many dance tracks called Loneliness does the world actually need? One more, apparently, and MatricK’s is better than that eye-roll of a title deserves. This sits in the emotional, big-room-meets-melodic lane Revealed has been pushing lately, a vocal about heartbreak riding a build designed to turn private sadness into a shared festival catharsis. It is a well-worn formula and the title does it no favours, telegraphing the entire emotional arc before a single note plays. But the drop has a genuinely nice melodic hook, a bittersweet lead line that earns a bit of the feeling the lyrics keep reaching for. I wish the vocal were less on-the-nose, because the production is doing the emotional work better than the words are. It is the kind of track that lands hard at a festival the moment the sun goes down and feels a touch manipulative in daylight. Effective, a little cynical, more affecting than I wanted it to be.
