• JUNIVERZ & HEN1 - Take Control

The kick on this lands like a car door slamming in an empty parking garage, and it sets the tone for everything after. “Take Control” from JUNIVERZ and HEN1 is muscular, festival-leaning house with a bass house streak, all tight low end and a vocal chop barking the title until it’s basically a chant. It moves with real purpose: no wasted bars, no meandering intro, straight to business and out again in under three minutes. The drop rides a distorted, almost techno-adjacent bassline that gives it more grit than the average Revealed banger, and that’s the detail that made me replay it. There’s a satisfying mechanical quality to the whole thing, like watching a well-oiled machine at full tilt. It won’t move anyone to tears, but it’ll move a floor, and on a peak-time set that’s the more useful skill anyway. Lean, mean, and gone before it overstays. A clean little weapon.

1 minute. Shorter than the average Coldplay intro. Mercifully.
