• gabriawll - Let You Never

NCS gets dismissed by a lot of people as gaming-stream background music, which is both fair and a massive disservice to how many genuinely good producers come through that channel. gabriawll’s Let You Never is exhibit A. This is melodic electronic music with real emotional heft, anchored by a vocal that sells the heartbreak the title is hinting at. The production is clean in that signature NCS way, polished to a shine but never sterile, with a drop that trades brute force for melody. I keep being surprised by how much feeling these supposedly disposable NCS tracks can carry when the producer actually cares. gabriawll clearly cares. There’s a delicacy to how the synths are layered, each one given room to breathe rather than crammed into a wall of sound. The vocal chop in the drop is the hook that’ll stay with you, looping a fragment of the topline until it becomes the whole identity of the track. Let You Never is proof that you shouldn’t judge a song by the channel it premieres on. File gabriawll under names to watch. This one snuck up on me.
