ALL BEFORE is built like a battering ram that somehow learned timing. DJ PUMA, a name I cannot find much of anything behind, turns in NCS at its harder-edged end, a driving electro-house cut with a bassline that bites down hard and a build that wastes no bars getting to the point. The drop has a satisfying mechanical snap to it, all rubber and steel, the sound of a track engineered for a packed room rather than a quiet bedroom. There is a faintly retro flavor running underneath, a nod back toward the 2012 big-room era that stops well short of wallowing in it. NCS keeps surfacing producers exactly like this, unknown names making club-ready records that will soundtrack a hundred thousand videos before a single viewer bothers to learn who made them. It does one thing and does it with total conviction. Loud, direct, and completely sure of what it wants to be.
