Does the world need another dance remake of a sad pop song? Probably not, and yet here I am with “Dancing With Your Ghost” wedged in my head against my wishes. Albi takes the melody everyone half-remembers from a hundred TikToks and builds a clean, festival-ready dance track around it, and on the drive home it did the job. The drop is bright and uncomplicated, the vocal chopped into the hook you already know, the whole thing engineered for a summer crowd to sing back. There’s nothing here you haven’t heard before, and the mix is buffed to such a high shine that there’s barely room left for any character. It’s a competent, radio-shaped piece of dance-pop that will do exactly what it was designed to do at a festival and not one thing more. It’s the kind of remake that exists because a label clocked a trending vocal and moved fast, not because anyone in the room had a burning idea they couldn’t shake. Fine for the car. I doubt I’ll remember it next week.
