Caching Server 2, iOS 7 and VMware virtualization
Read more . . . →I have recently been reading an article here http://www.yesdevnull.net/2013/10/caching-server-2-and-ios-7-confusion/ The article is looking at how sometimes the caching server seems to not store iOS downloads. Following the advice in the article above worked great to get my iPhone using the server, as well as all other computers on my network. In the end a vital part was my configuration with VMware. My settings for the machine are here: http://take.ms/bEj2Z This is what allowed my iPhone to start using the Caching Server, and with much greater control for backup and updating since everything is virtualized

I am still quite liking the format and graphics but my new design did not support PHP. The upside is that I will no longer be dependent on shared hosting and slow database responses. I did find the PHP site loaded "fast" but my metric was so slow as all my improvements were made on a shared hosting environment. Now the site is rendered in HTML and liquid code on dedicated...

Read more . . . →Well after weeks of waiting my speed upgrade has finally kicked in! I had originally set up the service through TekSavvy during the last week of August. After a few false starts they realized Rogers never activated the service. After hours on the phone I also found out that the first visit from Rogers tech support was cancelled and ignored by them. Finally now, the service just kicked in. A few hours later the Rogers technician calls for a visit. You can't write comedy this good . . .
