Just a relentless grey kick and a room full of people staring at the floor in bliss. It’s the least Instagrammable corner of the whole site and, on the right night, the best one. Weekend two lands tomorrow. Here’s what that room sounds like this year.
1. Eli Brown x HI-LO - Pyramid Rave
Oliver Heldens moonlighting as HI-LO next to Eli Brown, and the result is peak-time techno with a genuinely evil acid line. It’s built for exactly one purpose, which is a festival tent at 1am, and it does that job with zero subtlety and total confidence.
2. HI-LO - The Answer (Oliver Heldens Edit)
Take the old ATB trance classic, strip the pretty parts, and drop it into a warehouse. That’s the whole idea and it absolutely rips live. The nostalgia hook lands on the older heads while the kick keeps the room honest.
3. Space 92 - Gravity
The French producer has become shorthand for that trancey, slightly nostalgic strain of techno taking over the big rooms, and Gravity is his calling card. That lead is basically a trance melody wearing a techno costume, and it works on a festival crowd who’d never call themselves techno fans.
4. Eli Brown - Diamonds On My Mind
Eli Brown has quietly become the guy every mainstage DJ steals from, and this is why. The vocal loop is hypnotic to the point of being annoying in the best way, and the groove underneath just refuses to quit. Three minutes in you forget you have legs.
No melody and no mercy, and definitely no phone in your hand. That’s the deal in there.
