• The second name on the track is quietly stealing Defqon from the headliners

Two days. Everyone buys the ticket for the names in the biggest font, fair enough. But the most interesting hardstyle right now is happening in the feature credits. The second name on the track, the kid a veteran pulled in because they heard something the rest of us hadn’t. By next summer half of these are headlining their own slots. Here’s who to clock before that happens.

    1. Primeshock & Cryex - Higher Rush

Cryex keeps showing up on tracks that punch above their billing, and this is a clean example. Primeshock bring the polish, Cryex brings the edge that keeps it from going soft. The handshake works.

    2. Primeshock & NLCK - Speedrun

The title is a warning. NLCK pushes the tempo and the whole thing feels like it’s trying to outrun itself. The good kind of restless. You can hear someone young in the room who hasn’t learned to leave space yet, and it rules.

    3. Refuzion & Cardination - Ghost Inside Of Me

Cardination has been creeping up the scene for a while and this collab is why. It’s darker than Refuzion usually goes, and the contrast does something good to both of them. Keep the name.

    4. Hard Driver x Warface - How We Do

Two heavy hitters, no passengers. This is what happens when neither artist feels like backing down, and the track is better for the standoff. Built for a stage where the floor is already shaking before the drop lands.

Remember the names. You’ll want to say you were early.

1 minute. You read this in less time than Chris Martin says 'thank you, beautiful crowd'.
