Episode 680. Six hundred and eighty. At this point Spinnin’ Sessions has put out more episodes than most podcasts have listeners, and the wild part is it still does the job. The format hasn’t changed and that’s the whole point: an hour of the most upfront dance floor stuff Spinnin’ is pushing right now, plus a guest DJ dropping in for a 30-minute mix at the back end. Spinnin’ is the biggest dance label on the planet by sheer volume, so if you want a no-effort way to hear what the mainstream end of the genre is throwing at the wall this week, you put this on and let it run. Is all of it great? No. Spinnin’ has always been a numbers game and some of these tracks are clearly built in a lab to soundtrack a phone ad. But the show is a useful temperature check, and every couple of episodes something genuinely sticks and you go hunting for the ID. Treat it like a buffet. You’re not eating everything on the table, you’re grazing for the two or three things worth a full plate. The guest mix is usually where the actual interest lives — that’s where you get a DJ with an actual point of view instead of the label’s release schedule on shuffle. Stick it on while you’re working, clock the bangers, ignore the filler. 680 episodes deep and they still haven’t run out of road, which says something. Catch up on the roster and dig for the gems.
