What is a track with a title this sad doing being this danceable? got my heart on sale turned up on NCS, the copyright-free channel a whole generation of gamers grew up on, and sensacya uses that bright, accessible palette to smuggle in something genuinely melancholy. The production is clean to the point of frictionless, every element polished until it gleams, which is the NCS house style and usually where my interest goes to die. This one earns the shine. The vocal, pitched and chopped into the hook, keeps circling the title like a thought you cannot put down, and the drop pairs a sugary synth lead with a bassline that has more bite than the melody lets on. It is heartbreak you can put on at a function without killing the mood, and plenty of records fumble exactly that. sensacya is not trying to be cool and the track is better for it. Caught myself replaying the hook on the bus with no memory of pressing it again.
