Oden & Fatzo x Echo Thrills x Sae - Forever

Walked into a friend’s kitchen mid-party and this was the track that had everyone doing the small indoor version of dancing, the one where nobody commits but nobody can stop either. Forever is Oden and Fatzo in full Defected mode, a feel-good house cut stacked with Echo Thrills and Sae, built on a vocal that loops one hopeful phrase until it becomes a mantra. These two have made a whole career out of this exact feeling, taking a sample with a little nostalgia baked in and wrapping it in a bassline you could set your watch to. It is warm and uncomplicated, engineered for a very specific kind of 1am happiness. The piano that comes in on the second half is pure serotonin, the sort of chord stab that makes strangers make eye contact on a dancefloor and then pretend they did not. It is doing one thing and the one thing is joy. I played it twice and texted the link to two people before it had even finished.
