Live from Defected Malta, which, let’s be honest, sounds like a fairly enviable way to spend an evening. This is “My Temptations” out in the wild, off the studio leash, and it’s got that raw, slightly unhinged energy you only get when a track built for the dancefloor finally meets an actual dancefloor. Oden & Fatzo are the Parisian duo trading in glossy French touch business, all filter sweeps and basslines that funk harder than they have any right to, and you can hear them feeding off the crowd here. Barney Bones is the LA voice on top, a writer and vocalist who’s already turned up next to Channel Tres, DRAMA and KAYTRANADA, which tells you exactly the lane he’s operating in. Smooth, modern, effortless, the kind of delivery that makes a four-on-the-floor groove feel like a conversation instead of a workout. The studio version is gorgeous, but live is where this thing actually makes sense. You get the little imperfections, the energy spikes, the sense that everyone in that room knows they’re somewhere good. Defected’s whole brand is built on this exact feeling, the warm, communal, sun’s-coming-up house set, and Malta is apparently one of the stops on their 2026 calendar. Watching it back makes you want to be there, which is the best thing a live clip can do. This is house that doesn’t sulk. It just wants you to move. Hard to argue with that.
