The Dutch trio officially split in 2020, then quietly kept releasing things, and every new credit feels like a gift you didn’t think you’d get. Pair them with Mayhem — one of the heaviest names in current neurofunk — and Choke is exactly what you’d hope for. The sound design is filthy in a way only Noisia can do, every snare engineered to feel like it’s tearing a hole in the mix. Bass that growls instead of wobbles. This is neurofunk for people who think most neurofunk is too polite. Headphones on, volume up, ruin your evening.
