Put this on at dusk with nowhere to be and it fills the room the way low light does, slow and total. Lost Inside A Feeling is Midnight Pass making good on the name, a slow-building electronic piece more interested in mood than momentum. It drifts where a lot of tracks would drop, content to hover in one warm, slightly melancholy space and let you sit in it. The melody is simple to the point of being almost nothing, a few notes repeated until they start to mean something, wrapped in so much reverb it already sounds like a memory. There is no drop to brace for and no payoff being withheld, just one mood held dead steady for the whole runtime. It is background music in the best sense, the kind that rearranges your mood while you think you are ignoring it. Not every track needs to grab you by the collar. This one waits for you to notice it has been working on you the whole time.
