His lawyer, Joseph McBride, went on the Fresh and Fit podcast to make the pitch: help the man facing nearly five dozen rape charges, or lose the youth vote. The White House was asked. Karoline Leavitt said one word: “No.”
That “no” is the whole story. The manosphere spent three years selling young men a lifestyle brand built on Bugattis and bench presses and “escape the matrix,” and the second the product lands in federal custody, the leverage evaporates. McBride’s argument — that Tate “was a material participant in ensuring President Trump’s victory” — is an admission dressed up as a threat. You helped us win, now get us out of jail. That’s not political influence. That’s what a mob lawyer used to call a favor. And Trump, who has never once hesitated to pardon an actual insurrectionist, looked at this one and passed.
