This is a remix of a rave anthem that’s been bouncing around dance music since before half the internet existed, and somehow Delta Heavy made it feel brand new. “Don’t You Want Me” as a hook is basically undefeated, so dropping it into a modern DnB frame was always going to be either lazy nostalgia bait or genuinely great. Good news: it’s the second one. Delta Heavy don’t slap the vocal over a beat and call it quits. They build real tension underneath it, let the melody breathe for a second, then detonate the whole thing on the drop. The result is that rare remix that respects the original while obviously being made by people who grew up worshipping it. I’m a sucker for this move when it lands, and this lands hard. The low end has that signature Delta Heavy weight, the kind that makes you check whether your headphones are about to give out. Play it loud enough to annoy a neighbor who hates fun.
