DJ Rob Fabrie - Make Some Noise (weirdtechnogirlfriend & PAUL LE BÁY Remake)

The remake keeps the original’s air-raid-siren lead and drops it into a harder, faster chassis that hits like a caffeine overdose. This is “Make Some Noise” rebuilt by weirdtechnogirlfriend and PAUL LE BÁY, and it lives in that hyperactive zone where trance, techno and rave nostalgia all crash into each other around 150 BPM. The kick is enormous and dry, the kind that physically shoves air, and over it that siren synth just screams. There’s a rave whistle in the breakdown that’s either genius or a war crime and I genuinely cannot decide which, which is exactly the right reaction to have to it. weirdtechnogirlfriend has been one of the more fun names to watch in this new wave of chaotic, meme-literate hard dance, and the handle tells you the whole ethos before you even press play. It’s maximalist to the point of parody and more fun than most of the po-faced trance clogging the genre right now. I’ve played it twice in a row writing this and grinned the whole way through both times.
