• Dillon Francis, Allenora, America Foster - RIDDEM

Dillon Francis doing a trap-influenced track on Monstercat is exactly as chaotic as you’d expect, and that’s not a complaint. “RIDDEM” leans hard into that dirty, bouncy energy that made him famous in the first place — the kind of bass pressure that physically relocates your organs. Allenora and America Foster bring vocals that keep it from being a pure instrumental banger, and the combination actually works better than you’d think going in. The vocal layering in the hook is relentless; you won’t get it out of your head and you’re going to be slightly annoyed about it. Francis has always had this quality where his tracks feel like controlled accidents, like somebody knocked over a drum machine and then made it into an art piece worth showing people. This one’s no different. It’s a club weapon and it doesn’t pretend to be anything more sophisticated than that. If you’ve been sleeping on Dillon Francis, this is a pretty effective alarm clock.

1 min. About as long as it takes Chris Martin to find a falsetto.
