Jungle out of Hamburg. Not London, not Bristol, not any of the usual postcodes where breaks get chopped. Dentalplan dropped Limerence and now Weird World is the follow-up, which makes this two full albums deep into a genre most producers try once as a novelty before pivoting to whatever Spotify will playlist. That commitment says something on its own. “Ceremonial Dagger” is the track, posted on the artist’s own channel under the handle @dentalplan666, which tells you roughly everything about the branding energy here. Album on Bandcamp, track on YouTube, no label credits in sight anywhere. Self-released jungle in 2026 is either stubbornness or love and the line between those has always been thin. The tags are jungle, EDM, breakbeat: a spread wide enough to suggest someone who genuinely doesn’t care where the record store files it. Two albums in, still doing everything from a city nobody expects jungle from. That’s the kind of commitment you either respect or you don’t, and I know where I land.
