• D.Lacrux x Bebbo - Conga

“Conga” comes in swinging, a percussion-driven groove that grabs you by the hips before any melody bothers to show up. This is the more tribal, rhythmic end of trance, Armada territory, where the drums matter every bit as much as the topline, and D.Lacrux and Bebbo lean hard into that propulsion. It’s built around a relentless conga pattern (hence the name) that keeps rolling under absolutely everything, and about halfway through a euphoric synth line rises up out of the rhythm and lifts the whole thing skyward. That transition from head-down groove to hands-up release is the entire arc of the track, and they time it beautifully. It’s a peak-time trance record with an actual pulse to it, not just pretty pads and melodies floating around in empty space. I put it on expecting background noise and ended up moving in my chair like an idiot, which is the sincerest review I know how to give. Rhythmic, driving, and clearly built to keep a floor locked in for the full run. The congas alone earn it a slot in a set.

1 min on this. Less time than the wait for the drop in a Coldplay 'banger'.
