• Cartoon, Jozels, Kazhi - Like A Melody

Somewhere right now a Twitch streamer is queuing this up as background music, and honestly it’ll do that job beautifully, but it deserves an actual listen too. “Like A Melody” is NCS melodic bass done with more care than the label usually gets credit for. Cartoon has a real ear for a wistful topline, and here the vocal from Jozels floats over a build that takes its time before opening into a warm, glowing future-bass drop. The sound palette is bright and a little nostalgic, the kind of production that scores a montage of a good year you’re already missing while you’re still in it. It’s unashamedly emotional, all major-key uplift and big supersaws, and it commits to that mood hard enough to sell it completely. NCS releases blur together fast, hundreds of tracks a year fighting for the same gaming playlists, but this one has a hook strong enough to survive well outside that ecosystem. I found it stuck in my head hours after a single play, with no gaming montage anywhere in sight.

1 minute. You read this in less time than Chris Martin says 'thank you, beautiful crowd'.

    Melé & Bontan & K.O.G - Adesa
Oct 2026 — Pressed play on Melé, Bontan and K.O.G's Adesa half by accident and eight bars later the room felt ten degrees warmer. Afro house with real heat.
