Björk has a cat husband. The cat is drunk. She drags him home, sings at him, then goes out and has a better night with a brass band in a Reykjavík bar. That is the actual plot of this video and it is one hundred percent canon Björk behaviour. Triumph of a Heart is off Medúlla, the 2004 record built almost entirely from human voices — beatboxing, throat singing, Mike Patton noises — and you can hear the percussion is somebody’s mouth doing the work a kick drum would normally do. Spike Jonze directed. Watch it once for the cat, watch it again for the fact that the entire rhythm section is teeth and tongue.
