• Zack Griffin - Feel It

Can a track be this straightforward and still get me? Feel It makes the case. Zack Griffin keeps the architecture simple, a clean build, a vocal chop repeating the title, a drop that lands exactly where you brace for it. The lead synth is the hook, a bright rubbery bounce that gets into your legs before your brain has an opinion. What lifts it above the NCS background-music pile is the sheer momentum, the track never sits still, barrelling through its runtime like it is late for something. The label stamp usually promises filler for a montage, and this one has real legs under it. There is no grand idea at the centre, just a hook delivered with total conviction, which plenty of more expensive records forget to bother with. It works far better in a moving car than under headphones with a critic’s ears on, and I mean that as a compliment to the car. Played it twice back to back and reached for a third.

1 minute. Shorter than the average Coldplay intro. Mercifully.
