140 BPM and subsonic. Sorrow doing proper dubstep things, which in 2026 is a small act of defiance against everything the genre got turned into. Screwface lives in the deep dubstep tradition — think Mala, Coki, the Deep Medi catalogue — where the bass is felt before its heard and nobody’s screaming for a drop. The kick-snare pattern is patient, almost lazy on purpose, leaving room for the sub to do the heavy lifting. There’s a faint vocal sample floating somewhere in the middle that I can’t quite make out, which is exactly how this style is supposed to work. Built for a soundsystem in a dark room, plays fine in earbuds, suffers a little through laptop speakers. Head-nodders only.
