• Skrillex - Bangarang (BRLLNT Edit)

Let’s be honest about what this is. Someone took “Bangarang,” a track already welded into the brain of anyone who was near a speaker in 2011, and gave it a 2026 tune-up. The bar for a Skrillex edit is brutal, because the original is already perfect at what it does, and most edits of untouchable tracks exist so a DJ has a cleaner drop to mix out of. BRLLNT mostly clears that bar. It tightens the low end and modernizes the drums, handing that iconic yelping lead a heavier, cleaner floor to bounce on without touching the melody that made a generation lose its mind. You’re never going to prefer this to the original. Fine. Every edit of a flawless track lives in that shadow, and the good ones, like this, just aim to make the thing punch harder on a current rig. On a big system the updated sub genuinely helps. In headphones it’s “Bangarang” with a fresh coat of paint, and “Bangarang” with a fresh coat of paint is still “Bangarang,” which stays an absurd amount of fun fourteen years on.

1 minute. Shorter than the average Coldplay intro. Mercifully.

Loboski & Elipsa - Another World
Aug 2026 — Loboski and Elipsa's melodic dnb has a snare crack I keep rewinding just to hear again. Tighter and more ambitious than either alone.
