• MADDS & Dainjaa - Chasing Bodies

Dim Mak has been quietly putting out some of the better dark electronic stuff lately and MADDS & Dainjaa’s “Chasing Bodies” is a strong example of why the label’s still worth paying attention to. The title matches the energy — this track moves with a kind of purposeful aggression that somehow never tips into full chaos. There’s a tightness to the production that a lot of harder electronic doesn’t have, like every element was placed with intention rather than thrown at the wall hoping something sticks. The breakdown mid-track doesn’t overstay its welcome, and the build coming out of it actually delivers. MADDS has been surfacing on my radar more often lately and this confirms there’s something real there. Dainjaa brings a texture to the collaboration that makes it sound like neither of them could’ve made this alone. Good dark-room track. Put it on when you need something with teeth.

1 minute. Shorter than the average Coldplay intro. Mercifully.
