Two bass-music lifers walked into a hard techno track and absolutely wrecked the place. Jessica Audiffred built her name on heavy dubstep out of Mexico City, running her own A Records and the Mad House events, and she has been saying for a while that hard techno is where she goes to let loose after the parties end. RayRay came up through the Barong Family trap world before swerving hard into hard dance, so Back To You is two producers meeting in a lane that is new-ish for both and clearly a blast for both. And it rips. The kick is a battering ram, that signature hard techno thud sitting right up front where it belongs, with a rave-stab hook looping over the top that gets more hypnotic the longer it runs. There is a vocal snippet, the title chopped and pitched, used as something you can chant back at the booth. It is relentless in the way the good hard techno is, more interested in momentum than melody, built to keep a tent moving at 2am without a single second to breathe. Not clever. Just extremely effective. Crank it and move.
