• Defqon.1 is 22 days out and everything else looks soft

The Gathering kicks off June 20th. Three weeks out and Defqon.1 is already making every other summer lineup on the calendar look like a Coldplay concert. Hardstyle in a field in the Netherlands, multiple stages worth of it, crowd that made a deliberate choice to be there. If you’ve been sleeping on this: here’s the lineup doing the talking.

    1. D-Sturb ft. E-Life - Sacred Oath

D-Sturb got handed the 2026 anthem and made something that actually deserves the title. “Sacred Oath” builds properly, drops hard, doesn’t overstay — and the theme this year is right in the name. This is the one that’ll be playing when 50,000 people lose their minds on the first night.

    2. D-Block & S-te-Fan & Rebelion - Save The Day

DBSTF and Rebelion in the same room was inevitable. The result is festival hardstyle that doesn’t second-guess itself for a second — 190 BPM, no apologies, built to be played at maximum volume in a field in June.

    3. Sub Zero Project - Never Coming Down

Sub Zero Project have been releasing at a pace that makes most acts look retired. “Never Coming Down” dropped in January and stuck — big mainstage energy, completely unambiguous about what it is. They’re back at Defqon.1 again and this is what that mainstage slot sounds like.

    4. Adaro & Dr Rude - Oldschool Lovers

Adaro has been making hardstyle longer than most people in this conversation and this March 2026 release with Dr Rude leans into exactly that history. The title tells you where it’s going. Heavier underneath than you’d expect.

    5. Ran-D - King Kong

Ran-D dropped this late last year and it sounds like it was written specifically for a Defqon.1 mainstage at midnight. Big, obvious, no notes needed. The Gunz For Hire half of the BLUE stage lineup making the case for why this festival exists.

    22 days.

1 minute. Used wisely. Unlike most Coldplay run-times.

Melarmony - Don't Let Me Go
Jun 2026 — Three Melarmony tracks in one batch and Don't Let Me Go is the closer. Anjunadeep deep house that knows how to end things. Title writes itself.
