Miike Snow are the Swedish trio who basically invented their own lane around 2009 — indie pop with one foot in dance production, the kind of thing that ended up everywhere on blog rotations because nobody could agree on what to call it. They’ve also got serious receipts behind the scenes, with Bloodshy & Avant in the lineup, the production team responsible for Britney’s “Toxic.” That probably explains the off-kilter melodic instincts. The new video is its own little short film with a deadpan kid lead, and it’s better than anything they had to do. Watch it.
