There is always something exciting going on during New Years. This year has been a big year. We moved web hosts and did a massive edit on the theme. I am still quite liking the format and graphics but my new design did not support PHP. The upside is that I will no longer be dependent on shared hosting and slow database responses. I did find the PHP site loaded "fast" but my metric was so slow as all my improvements were made on a shared hosting environment.
Now the site is rendered in HTML and liquid code on dedicated hosting. I find it super fast! Way faster than my old Wordpress based site :-)
